• Modernise the front end of a large, long-lived municipal information system: replace embedded VBScript, XML data islands and Internet Explorer only modal dialogs with a JavaScript, jQuery, Kendo UI and Bootstrap presentation layer, migrating page by page with no change to the production back end.
• Introduce a JSON/XML API layer onto the existing Classic ASP pages so the new interface exchanges data asynchronously over AJAX, replacing full-page postbacks with partial updates.
• Extend supported browsers from Internet Explorer only to Chrome and Edge while preserving backwards compatibility for existing users, by constraining all new client-side code to ES5.
• Contribute to a Windows system-tray agent (C# / .NET Framework 4.8) that re-exposes legacy Internet Explorer ActiveX capabilities, including smart-card readers, electronic signature and printing, through a local HTTP API, making them usable from modern browsers.
• Contribute to an internal AI assistant that translates natural-language questions into SQL, integrating multiple LLM providers behind a centralised, Docker-deployed proxy service, with a read-only query validator, SQL-injection detection and query timeouts.
• Build data access and reporting against Microsoft SQL Server, working extensively with stored procedures and T-SQL.
